It’s the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend!

It’s not too late to get your tickets to the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, starting on 11 July.

Motorcycles will also play a big part in this, the 20th anniversary of the iconic event, and this year is set to feature plenty of VIP riders on their championship-winning machinery from yesteryear.

Legendary racers such as 15-times world champion Giacomo Agostini and seven-times champion John Surtees will be taking part, and other riders confirmed to be there include 500cc world champions Kevin Schwantz on his 1993 championship-winning Suzuki, plus the actual Heron Suzuki Carbon framed motorcycle he scored his first ever 500cc GP points on.

Kenny Roberts will be riding the last-ever two-stroke to score a pole position, the Proton KR3, run by Robert’s team, and his 1980 championship winner. Champion Freddie Spencer will also be on his 1985 World Championship winning Honda NSR500 from the Honda Collection in Japan.

Also present will be Ducati, with the GP3, GP5, GP6 and GP11, along with the first Ducati GP bike, the 1970 Ducati 500 GP machine, all in action on the hill.

BMW will be celebrating their 90 years of history with some fantastic factory bikes, plus there will be a special display of GP bikes from ‘King’ Kenny Roberts’ private collection in California and the new Concept 90 bike on display.

Barry Sheene’s first ever GP winner, the 1975 Suzuki XR14 RG500 will also be in attendance, along with the Honda RC149, the first-ever five-cylinder race bike, ridden by world champion Ralph Bryans.

The Festival takes place 11-14 July – get your tickets from www.goodwood.com
